Week 34: Weigh-In Results
The roaring 20s.
September 16 weight: 227.2
September 09 weight: 231.6
September 02 weight: 233.6
August 26 weight: 232.8
August 19 weight: 233.2
I’ve lost 4.4 pounds in the last 7 days and 117 pounds in 34 weeks. Want stats from past weeks? Check out my entire 34 week weight loss progress.
I’ve had a couple people e-mail me questioning my conviction last week. After all, I had only lost about 8 pounds between July 15th and September 2nd.
This week is my reply.
The week I resume counting calories is the same week I reach well into the 220s. Coincidence? I think not. I’ve been counting calories for the last few days and have had an extremely clean diet (because of it?).
The scale is showing some love again.
I don’t plan on staying in the 20s for long. I hope to lose another several pounds through the remaining weeks of September and reach close to 210 pounds by Thanksgiving. After that, it’s a race to reach 199 before the end of the year.
It’s ambitious. Probably even unlikely. But hopefully you’ll watch me try.
I’ll watch you try, T. Dang, but I love ya. You’re what gets me through in-between Biggest Loser episodes! (o: Great job this week…again.
The scale hates everyone from time to time, just have to pull though and stick to you game. Good job keeping with it. My scale hated me over my vacation last week to.
man im glad ur back on track again..i jus started college and before i got here i was 315 with 85 pounds lost im now 323 with 77 pounds lost…and im now about to get back on track with u
continue to be my inspiration…….
Atta boy Tyler. Well done man. It’s amazing how much better you eat when you keep track of it; it must be a mental thing but it certainly works.
-Steve
I won’t watch you try, I’ll watch you succeed. You got this in the bag!!! What a way it will be to bring in the New Year!!!
That’s 28 lbs by the end of the year… Nice Job with the strict calorie counting. I figure it to be about 0.264 lbs / day just keep a 924 calorie deficit and you’ll make it. Keep up the good work!.. you deserve it.
As I said — ambitious! That’s a big calorie deficit.
Thanks for the confidence!
Get back on track! I can do it, so can you.
Thanks.
Vacation tore me up too.
Good job! That’s about 34% of your body weight in less than a year.

You can do it Tyler!
And excuuuuuse me, T, but not only do I still READ your blog, but I send my facebook friends here, too. So watch it.
We watch with baited breath!
Good job, man! Looks like things are stabilizing after the move. You’re pushing me to move the scale this week – there are barely eight pounds between us now . . .
And, hey – what’s that thing on your desk that looks like a doorknob or a half-eaten metal apple?
Fantastic!!
You can do it.
I’ll not only be watching, I’m joining in. Watching this blog over the last few months, and then the premiere of Biggest Loser last night pushed me over the edge. I’m giving myself a few days to get organized, and will do my first weigh in and start on September 22nd, maybe I won’t feel so guilty watching that show if I’m working out myself.
Already started organizing some meal ideas, my meal schedule, workout schedule. So no more excuses, it’s planning out. Also redesigned my site and added a blog area to blog the progress (along with a number of links to this site). http://www.scattershotmind.com/junctis-diet/
Now that I’ve started the process to emulate this diet blog I need to start emulating the results. Going to be a long journey, but also a long overdue one.
Thanks for the motivation, now it’s time to get it done.
Congratulations! Counting calories really does work.
I’m always amazed at how your back appears in the profile shots of the videos. If you look at some of the early videos, you can actually see the strain and improper curvature of your back. But now, it’s standing in the right position. Awesome!
Great job Tyler! I’m not sure who should be able to question your conviction. But that’s cool. You’re still on a 3.44lbs/week average! That’s actually funny, the average is similar to your starting weight–so you’ve almost been losing 1% of your body weight a week!
Keep up the good work, and I’m looing forward to seeing those Calorie counts…
Great job! Counting calories bites but….so does being overweight, right? I’d rather count calories than keep working and getting nowhere.
Oh also have to add – my tailbone has made an abrupt appearance lately and it always makes me laugh and remind me of you – asking your wife “what’s this bone?”
Great job man! I can’t imagine having the results you are having, but it inspires me alot. Keep up the good work. I don’t do the calorie counting, but I think I need to start doing it.
Way to go! 🙂
I just cracked the 220’s myself… and can’t wait to get under that. My first level goal is 200…. I’m 5’10” so that puts me around a size 11 or 12, which I’d be totally comfortable with, and then can work my way down to my proper BMI in the 170 and under range.
I personally will be watching with minty fresh breath, but that’s just me.
Way to go, Ty! Don’t let the doubters stop you from reaching for your goals. You’ve accomplished so much, you can do this!
are you going to share what your eating any more? I always find that so interesting.
This Saturday.
You got this Thang Tyler!!!
I love that show. It’s the only reality show that’s actually got a positive result. Even if there is backstabbing there’s still 99% less backstabbing than in other reality shows.
THANKS!!
I’m so proud, Juncti. I can’t wait to watch your journey.
I guess I will ask this question here..since alot of people here seem to watch “The Biggest Loser”.. this is the first time I have ever watched the show and reading an article on MSN about “Where are they now” I saw some reference to the BodyBugg… anyone here know what that is or better yet have one and have used one? I went to the website and it really doesn’t tell me much about it.. so if anyone (not necessarily Tyler since I don’t think he has ever responded to one of my comments) can share some insight..I’d really appreciate it.. I have lost 50lbs..but have about 118 to go to hit my goal..THANKS so much!!
Good luck Tyler..
Hi Cassi,
I’m not really sure what a BodyBugg is. I’m sorry if you think I pass you by, I really don’t mean to! I get a lot of comments and it’s hard to respond to everyone, but I read 100% all the comments I receive. Keep in mind, if you shoot me an e-mail, you’ll 100% always get a response, it just might take a few days.
Congrats on your weight loss! Thanks for the well wishes!
Tyler
I know what you mean, Joe. My back is straight as an arrow, just like in Forrest Gump.
It’s a watch.
I was reading up on these. Sound like they could be helpful, but what I don’t like is that you pay a lot for the device, and then have to continually pay a subscription fee to make it work. Stop paying, and the device becomes an expensive paper weight.
Supposedly it’s over 90% accurate at telling you how many calories you’re burning, but I don’t think this device would be for anyone on a tight budget.
If you google BodyBug reviews, you’ll find lots of users talking about them. (I know, I’ve been looking at diet stuff all week in preparation for starting a diet of my own).
We are watching. I am believing in the Calorie Budget. I’ve only been logging calories and blogging for a week but I have freedom within its boundaries. Thanks for posting a meal plan. It helps to see how you’re doing it. Your goals are so reachable. You’re so focused. Keep u the great work.

Oh and for those of you watching Biggest Loser I’ve always dreaded the first episode because I was jealous and wasn’t doing what I knew I should have been doing. This time however I felt like I was on their team because I was making a change in my life as well. BL is very inspirational. It really shows how much you can actually increase the intensity.
Cheers

Oh…I had no idea you had to pay a subscription on top of the price of the device. I was willing to pay for the device..mainly because my main thing is I would love to know EXACTLY how many calories I am burning with each workout I do… I do several group classes and I like some more than others – but would really like to know which ones are helping me more..yanno? Sure wish you just RENT one for a while..lol Thanks Tyler.. keep it up..u keep me going!!
Cassi
Holy crap! You are a fooken’ STUD!!! When I’m feeling a bit lazy, I think, “waitaminute, that 344 guy is now 227!” That’s serious motivation and it’s caused me to ramp-up my own work-outs a bit more. Great work!
