The cool part is, American Eagle and other slimy retailers usually have a “look” they are going for when hiring people. YOU FIT THE LOOK NOW DUDE!

  10. Britty says:

Wow – look at that legit smile! You’ve definitely got plenty to smile about now. Well done.

That’s so great! What a diffrence a year 9almost) has made! Congrats on the transformation!

  13. Tamara says:

YES! You look so awesome, dude. As always, an incredible transformation.

And I didn’t realize it until you said it, but after losing 90 pounds myself, I too am starting to forget what I used to look like at my heaviest weight. Without the few ‘before’ photos, I just kinda forget completely. Isn’t that a weird (but also awesome) feeling?

  14. Juncti says:

Some really amazing results. How tall are you?

Looking forward to when I can match these results, one day.

    I’m 6 feet, 1 inch tall.

  23. Tyler says:

It is weird. I’m a completely new person.

  24. Tyler says:

Another 3 months and we’ll see how I look like after one year — I imagine I’ll look even more different than I do now.

  25. Tyler says:

I’m glad. I have another news story coming out soon by the same CBS news affiliate, this time in prime time.

  26. Tyler says:

    You will, just keep going.

  27. Tyler says:

I am finding myself smiling these days when I look into the mirror. It’s crazy 🙂

  28. Tyler says:

I’m with the “in” crowd. With that being said, the AE I went to was staffed by “normal” people. They weren’t skinny to the bone or anything like that.

    They were nice and friendly.

  29. Rachael says:

You look great! Congratulations, you are doing amazing. Also, nice to see you with a smile.

Great progress pics. I found your site a few months ago and like so many others I was inspired to follow your example and begin a new lifestyle. I am in a very similar scenario – I’ve been the “big guy” all my life, tried lots of diets and work out programs to little or no success, and I have a new baby (daughter) born last year. I was 339lbs Aug 1st, and now I’m down today to <315lbs. I realize I have a long way to go and will keep looking to this site for motivation. My wife and I have been walking every day since summerand little by little we've been stepping up our speed and distance. I've not given up any of my favorite foods (except beer maybe!) but I just eat smaller portions and watch calorie intake – not as hard as I always thought it was. It can be done! Just start slowly, be patient, and find your own plan you can live with. Best of luck to you Tyler and all your readers – and Thank You!

  31. Michael says:

That second pic represents exactly why I’m trying to drop weight. The ability to go into a “normal” store and buy something fashionable, instead of just looking for something that fits.

Great job. You have nothing but respect from me for two reason:

    1) Just having the willpower to do this at all.

    2) Deciding to do it while young. As a cranky 37 year old, I’m wishing I had been able to do this sooner. I also acknowledge that it gets harder the older you get simply because the bad habits are firmly entrenched when you get older, and much more difficult to break.

  32. glad you had another victory, shopping in more places is always nice
