Wow! Outstanding results…congratulations on continuing to earn your health. I am currently down 75lbs with another 60ish or so to go and I am inspired by you to recommit.

Thank you for sharing your journey!

Well done, very good result for the week! Not sure what my results will be for this week, since I was travelling for 24 hours and didn’t get to exercise and had to eat what I was given on plane! Hopefully I can make up for the that during the 2nd half of the week.

Keep it up dude, you will be below 200 soon!

  3. mw180 says:

Awesome job! Way to step up your game and post a great loss! 4.4 also happens to be my loss for the week. Sometimes all it takes is a minute to refocus on the goal at hand and the decision to make it happen!

great job, now I have to work harder to catch up with you!

  8. Beth says:

Awesome weight loss this week! It sure helps when you stay on track- it is way too easy to eat too many cheat meals.I know- I have to re-lose 7 pounds.

Oh to be able to eat 2100 cals! I have to stick to 1400 a day.

    Keep up the awesome job!

  9. beej says:

  29. Jen says:

Have to admit that I’ve been a lurker (yikes!) on your site for a couple of weeks and just had to offer up my congrats to you! Your journey is an inspiration to many and with every pound lost you gain confidence and insight. I am inspired not by your numbers as much as by your willpower, reality with the struggle to lose (focusing on how none of us are perfect!), and your ability to stay so humble and modest despite all of the fame (!) and attention. Congrats, congrats, congrats!!!

  30. Leah says:

Congratulations, Tyler. You’ve worked hard and made many “sacrifices” along the way – high calorie weekends is just the latest one. Soon, you won’t even miss it.

  31. Steve says:

    Wow…kickass, dude! Congrats.

  32. Matt says:

Outstanding! You pulled out all of the stops this week.
My loss has slowed down from the 4-5lb losses, and I’m hitting about 1.5-2.5 now.

Down 118 as of yesterday – size 38″ pants now:

Way to go! Its amazing to see the shrinking man! I wonder though? What about all the loose skin? I know you have researched this, but I hope you could do another post dedicated to what you have found. All you hear about is surgury, but that is pretty drastic….

Follow my journey from the beginning.

  39. Marna says:

Nice job! I’m sure you hear this all the time, but you are an absolute inspiration. You are taking this on yourself with focus and commitment and that serves as a reminder to me that I have it in me to become what I deserve to be too. It’s not going to happen by itself, which seems obvious, but it’s the basic first step in realizing that action must take place before change will occur. Keep it up. Enjoy the journey and thank you for what your efforts mean to me and others like us, who want to make a change!

  40. Ashley says:

WAY TO GO!!!!!!! but remember… keep it up and 11 lbs is just around the corrner.

  47. Jerilyn says:

Congrats! I’m stuck on a god awful plateau and I’m not sure why. Somebody suggested that I was spending too much time in the gym but I honestly don’t see how that’s a possibility. How can you spend too much time in the gym?

  48. Jaclyn says:

Hey Tyler! One year of dedication. One year of perserverence and persistence. One year of committment to what you will ever be your habitual lifestlye. I bet youll never forget 2009. I bet youll remember it as the year that changed your life. Im proud, your fans are proud, you wife is proud, your family is proud. You are moving a nation just by sticking to your word.

p.s. I appreciate you placating my insistence of not replying to me, but I can see you already have almost 50 others to get to tonight. bless your heart, your too nice for you own good!

  51. jill says:

Congratulations!! I’ve been reading you since you were on CNN – It’s such an inspiring story! I’m at 8 of a 25 pound goal and, having lost 30 pounds about 6 times, know very much how difficult it is!

p/s – please don’t worry about emailing me back… go be with your family or catch up on some sleep!

  52. david foust says:

Dude you get me pumped. no elaborate comment. Just jacked.

  53. Jill says:

Congrats to you! I’ve been trying to lose 30-40 lbs. for several years now. It’s embarrassing. I’ve finally decided to go to the gym 5-6 times/week instead of the 3-4 that I was doing before. I’m hoping that will help. I noticed that you also go to the gym 5x/week and you lost weight, so that gives me some hope. You’re a normal guy losing weight. That’s why I like your blog. Thanks.

  54. kate says:

    F%$kin A man. That’s great!

  55. JayLoss says:

Great job! I started at 336 myself and I’m at 246 right now, working on my first weight loss challenge. The thing that works for me is counting calories and working out 4-5 times a week. That’s the only way I lose weight.

Great job guy, keep it up!

  56. Kat says:

Congratulations Tyler. You have done an amazing job this past year. You are an inspiration to me!

  57. Tyler says:

Good luck on reaching your goal!

  58. Tyler says:

Thank you for reading my journey!

  59. Tyler says:

I never thought of it that way, Chuck.

  60. Tyler says:

Those are really kind words, Kathy.

  61. Tyler says:

I’m so glad you commented, Jen! Please continue to do so, I love reading the feedback!

  62. Tyler says:

Great before and after pants shot!

  63. Tyler says:

I’ll put up a post soon about loose skin. It’s definitely in the works as we speak.

  64. Tyler says:

That’s a massive loss, Ashley! Keep going.

  65. Tyler says:

    HAMMERED, son, indeed.

  66. Tyler says:

That’s actually possible, Jerilyn. I’ve had the strange experience of going to the gym 5 days in a row and only seeing small losses every day, to maybe skipping a day (and still having a clean diet) and having a bigger drop in the scale.

  67. Tyler says:

Unfortunately, I simply can’t reply to all of these comments (already breaking my policy, I guess) — I do, however, have the time to respond to those who have questions/concerns for me.

  68. Congratulations on your weight loss successes!! I think it just goes to show that a little hard work and perseverance goes a long way! Your journey is one of inspiration! 🙂
