Losing Weight for a Wedding
I’ve always had “more important” reasons for losing weight. At 344 pounds, I wanted to walk to the mailbox and you know, not die at 30.
Those were my reasons for losing weight.
Now that I’ve got my health in check and hopefully avoided an untimely death (weight-related, at least), I’m reevaluating my short-term goals. My long-term goal is to be called Tyler the Tank (muscles!), but short-term I want to continue to lose pounds and reach 199 pounds by April 10th.
Why April 10th? I’m in my little sister’s wedding.
I’m excited about my little sister getting married. I’m also excited about the actual wedding itself. I love weddings for a variety of reasons:
- Free (plentiful) food
- Good music
- Rare occasion to dress fancy
- See old friends/family
This wedding is acting as a family reunion, a rare gathering of our massive family. We haven’t really seen each other in at least half a decade, at least all in one place anyway. A lot of have things have changed since then.
I’m hoping to change a little more before April 10th.
Why are you trying to change?
