Wow! You are looking great and I bet feeling great. You should be proud of your accomplishments.

Losing the 17 pounds that a certain medication caused me to gain since last summer. It really bugs me that I had all of those pounds gone once and now I have to get rid of them all over again. Oh, well. At least I’ll have a really good excuse for going out to play now!

Working towards my grade school reunion in June. 25 lbs gone!!!

You’re really an inspiration to many, Tyler. Keep up the great work.

Hey Tyler! I’m so glad I stumbled across your blog. You look amazing, and you’re such an inspiration to me. 🙂 Right now I’m pushing toward 275 pounds. I can’t wait to get there and set another goal. Keep up the great work!

Hey Tyler, you must be so frustrated. I kinda saw this as your coming out party, since you’ve been planning on it for the last year! I hope you feel better.

What’s your next scheduled 10k, then? You’ve got to have a replacement, right? Here are some options:
Looks like there are plenty in your area (If I’m right about where you live…I think I am)–including a clothing optional one! Lol!

I’m pushing to my newest goal of 225 and then to 215, and then we’ll see…maybe 198 or somehting. And then TONING. And that will be the most difficult…but I’m already seeing some improvement.

    Praying for a swift revcovery.

    Tyler “el tanque”.
Yah. Spanish Remix for ya! Pushing towards my very first marathon. Its pretty grueling and I often wonder why the eff Im doing this to myself.
Something inspiring happened to me today. I jumped on Nike.com to check out my training schedule for the week, when I saw the link for the Nike Womens marathon. The slogan gave me chills. It may not be impressive to some, but it floored me. The way your words tend to do sometimes.
    Slogan= “I run to be”.
    Wow. Genius.

  7. I’m pushing toward 196 pounds on November 28th, 2010. 100 Pounds in a year. You’ve shown me I can do it. Thank you.

  8. Jeff says:

I am pushing towards 100 pounds lost. Jan 1 starting weight was 398. Currently at 301. I will get out of the “3’s” and lose 100 lbs in the same week! Then, reality hits…..I have 80 more to go!

  9. Shannon says:

I’ve lost 42 pounds and I’m pushing towards the last 66 I have to go! w00t!! Easter is also my daughters 4th birthday. So that is a very busy wekend for me.

  10. Tara says:

    What am I pushing towards?

First 30 pounds gone, pushing toward the next 30.
Running 2 miles non stop, pushing toward 3.1 miles.
Swimming 40 laps, pushing toward 70.
Trying to be a good role model, pushing toward being more like you!

I am pushing towards getting the eff outta college! I go to school full time and work part time as a leasing consultant, plus I have amazing parents and a wonderful fiance that I love to spend time with. All of my other social avenues have slipped away. I enjoy so many things and hobbies, and I am so tired of doing everything half-a**ed. Summer school plus a grueling fall semester will kick me out into the real world. I am so ready for that diploma!

  12. Chris Clarke says:

Pushing toward getting under 180 after being stuck above 190 for almost a year (after losing 60lbs) and building more muscle, getting some definition for summer, and then looking forward to a trip to Spain in September. Life is good.

  13. Cat says:

I am pushing to lose that first 10 and by the end of april. I am pushing to decrease my coffee intake and increase my water, to get at least something other than a walk in at least once during the week, and to really, really, REALLY be careful of what I eat.
Easier said than done! But the knee and hip pain that I am getting from the 40 extra pounds and inactivity is really starting to get to me. If I don’t do something about it now, it will only get worse!

    Thanks for your inspiration….

PS – really sorry you missed your race – that sucks! But theres nothing like a flu to drop a few pounds …. 🙂 okay…there are better ways to do it though…

  14. ty says:

Coincidentally, pushing towards 199 myself. Started at 258 3 months ago more or less, and am at 205 now. 2 more weeks should do it! Then onto a new goal of 185.

  15. Jer says:

I’m pushing towards 199 right with you- I’m only a few pounds behind you but us girls, y’know…

I’ve lost several inches in the past month though, even if the numbers on the scale aren’t doing down too quickly. I’m hoping to arrive at 190 by June 11- my birthday. Last year it was 290 on by June 11 and I hit 27 at 289.

I’m pushing towards my Susan G. Komen 3-day walk too. Something I may ask you to pimp one day if you’re in a pimping kind of mood- we have to raise $2,300 to walk- which I’m nearly there and if I only had mine to raise it would be great but I’d like to knock mine out so that I can help 4 of my friends raise theirs as well. 😉

Another 10k in June, high school reunion that night, triathlon in July, 3 day walk in August, all to round out with my first half marathon in October. I’m sure I’ll add in other runs before then, but those are my majors. I’m looking forward to it. 🙂

  16. Rebekah says:

WOW, I have so much to push towards.
*Walk a 5K for the March of Dimes on April 24
*Make it to 250 (32lbs to go) by my birthday on June 15
*Have a huge yard sale by cleaning out my house with all the unused stuff!
    *Pay off debts

Pushing foward is so hard sometimes, but this past week I lost 7.7 pounds and I did it by challenging myself like you have! Thank you for being such an inspiration!

  17. Jer says:

Yay for June birthdays! Geminis rock. And you’ll make it to your 250. 🙂

  18. beej says:

I’ll echo that! June 13th here I come! Yahoo #30!

  19. You sound so positive and together – congrats.
My weight is holding steady. I guess I have to go under 1400 cal to lose weight.
In April I am doing script frenzy.org. It’s a challenge to write 100 pages of a script during April. I’ve not written a script before but I do well with deadlines and all the online info and encouragement.
    Yay all of us.

  20. Elise says:

Pushing towards my first 100 lost and only 9 more to go! Of course when I said first I meant there would be a second 100 but that’s another goal.

  21. kate says:

Hey well coughing burns calories too.

    To infinity and beyond. 😀

  22. r.h. says:

I started at 250 at the beginning of the year. I’m pushing towards being under 200 by the end of summer. I wanna look good for my second year of college, and have a lot more confidence! The next goal is to hit 165 by the end of the year! Thanks for keeping up with the blog, Tyler. You are an awesome inspiration, and it’s so cool to be able to keep up with someone who has a lot of similar goals as mine!

  23. Cat says:

I’m around 230, pushing toward 200. I would love to hit it by early summer.

  24. William says:

I lost 111 pounds from Aug. ’08 until Dec’ 09. I completed a 53 mile backpacking trip in July ’09 in mountains of New Mexico over 6 nights/7 days. I also completed the 2 day, 39.3 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Oct. ’09 in Charlotte, NC. I am pushing to maintin my current weight of 179 pounds for 2010. I am also pushing to complete another backpacking trip of approximately 80 miles in 8 days by thru hiking the Foothills Trail in SC in July. I am excited!

  25. Amy says:

I’m sorry you missed your race. What a disappointment! I hope you feel better soon. You are an inspiration. So far I’ve lost 23 pounds, only 140 to go! he he

  26. Doug says:

I’m pushing to get below 300 by week 2 of June so I dont have to wear a wifebeater to Olive Garden and listen to my co-workers to laugh at me. Started 3 weeks ago at 323 now down to 316 with my ultimate goal of losing 100 pounds

  27. Tim P says:

Ty, you are an inspiration. I am now 344 and I’m pushing for 300. I maintain my Livestrong best I can and exercise about an hour a day. The inspiration is that when I feel stuck I know if I don’t give up the weight will, eventually keep coming off. Once I get to 300 my next goal will be 250. I have shamelessly ripped off your title idea for my own blog and have become a semi-loyal reader of your own blog. It’s so hard to maintain good eating habits on vacation.

  28. Frank Dobner says:

Me too. I am pushing to get back under 200. It is where I was two years ago this very day.

  29. Michelle says:

Less than a week until the 10th of April. I am certain you will look great and stun your family and friends. I cannot wait to give you your gift.
