Oh, and I don’t mean anything political by the Republican comment. I’m just saying there’s a few old songs in here, that’s all — but everyone can enjoy them!

  2. Sean Nelson says:

I’m into the electronic side of the spectrum, and this one beats the crap out of me if I try to maintain the pace of the beat on the elliptical for the entire duration of the song:

I don’t typically listen to that kind of thing all that often on a day to day basis, but nothing has beat it for me when it comes to exercise, although Infected Mushroom’s “Vicious Delicious” ( helped push an extra half mile out of a run to allow it to finish.

    Ok. My three songs are:

Electric Six – Dance Commander (Amazing! Add it)
Queen – Don’t stop me now
    Anne Lennox – Little Bird

Tonight at the gym I listened to The Red Hot Chili Peppers Greatest Hits album. Was good. Got me pumping for my least favourite activity… CARDIO!

  4. Laura says:

    Annie *** not Anne. 😀

Not sure if I would want these for the rest of my life, but if I had to listen to the same three songs in a loop for an hour of cardio:

Galvanize by The Chemical Brothers–electronic, good beat, longer song

Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce–that really long song from Guitar Hero. I think it would distract me for 7 minutes on the treadmill

I Like It by Enrique Iglesias–I usually HATE current pop music but I heard this and it works great for the elliptical

Hahahaha…it’s funny because I consider myself to be a straight up music snob, until it comes to workout playlists and it’s McPlayplace on my ipod. I just couldn’t get through a workout with out Linkin Park, Metallica, or even *shudder* the Gaga.

And I’ll see your Neodämmerung and raise you the Burly Brawl

  7. Nick T says:

    Eminem – Run Rabbit Run
Lil Wayne – Drop the World
Rick Ross – Push it to the Limit

  8. Tyler says:

Never heard of that Run Rabbit Run, I’ll have to check it out. I am not a huge Eminem fan, but he certainly has some huge motivational pieces.

  9. Tyler says:

I can’t listen to Gaga while I’m lifting, but cardio it’s great.

  10. Tyler says:

The Chemical Brothers are good, not much listening experience with the other two… I’ll check it.

  11. Tyler says:

Speaking of which, It’s a Hard Knock Life by Jay-Z would be a great workout song. My cousin used to make fun of me because I sang Jay-Z’s version around the house and she kept telling me how much I must have liked Little Orphan Annie.

    Good times.

  12. Tyler says:

That’s some good stuff. Not an electric kind of guy, but I can dig that kind of music. Again though, not during the day or whatnot, but I can see working out to it.

  13. Mshell says:

  15. René says:

Disturbed, Nickelback, The Beatles and Lady Gaga in one playlist is…

    simply dope 😀

  16. Jason says:

Add some Slipknot to this list!

  17. Tyler says:

Ah, they’re a little too dark for me. 🙂

  18. Tyler says:

    That’s what I think.
