Last Pre-Weight Loss Picture Taken
I was browsing around Facebook the other night, looking at early pictures of my daughter when I found this picture in my sister’s photo gallery:
This was taken on Christmas Eve of 2008, mere weeks before I started my life transformation. This is the biggest I had ever been in my entire life.
I never realized I was so massive. I avoided mirrors, pictures, and anything else that showed my own reflection. I kept myself in a bubble for a decade as I ballooned. My family ignored my weight as well, always polite, minus the occasional “fat ass” comment from an uncle during the holidays.
I’ve added this picture to my growing list of before and after pictures. It will be there for years, constantly reminding me and hopefully anybody that runs across it that regardless how many times you’ve failed before and no matter how much the odds are against you, this life is yours for the taking.
I know I’ve changed a lot since this picture and I think most believe I’m about done, but I’m here to tell you that I’ve got a lot more changing to do.
This transformation is really just getting started.
