I take my camelbak with me everywhere! It’s great in the car when I’m running errands, I’m not tempted to stop for a drink somewhere (and you know, complement the drink with some fast food or something). I love that it fits in my drink holder in the car and has a wide enough mouth to easily fill with ice if I want.

Water BOTTLE ??? Neh… I have kids. I have to tote around a full on gallon jug! But at the end of the day the kids and I have had our daily water… mostly because we are tired of carrying it.

I recently found the cure to over eating… are you ready for this? Drink a glass of water at the end of every meal and snack. It will fill you up fast!

I love my blue CamelBak! I actually drink more water than I even realize with it.

Staying hydrated is something I’ve had a problem with lately, I’ll have to start bringing my water bottle to work with me.

    We’re like twins!

I drink so much more water than I realize. I just sip from it throughout the day as habit, not necessarily because I’m thirsty. I could think of worse habits.

That’s a great idea. You’re right, it works, no doubt about that. I know the opposite is true with sugar drinks… if I drink sweet tea, I just want to eat more and more at the table. I don’t keep any of that stuff in the house though (sugar drinks), it’s reserved for nights out on the weekend and rare occasions.

I wasn’t sure if many people would know about CamelBaks… they are getting more popular by the day, though.

I would definitely recommend trying to drink more, if not for any other reason than to try to feel fuller so you don’t eat more than you need.

I’ve been using my Camelbak Insulated Stainless bottle (http://www.camelbak.com/sports-recreation/bottles/insulated-stainless-5L.aspx) for about a year now. I love it, and the fact that the insulation will keep the water cold for hours upon hours (especially if you toss in a couple ice cubes)! I mainly use it at the gym, but will also take it out with me during the weekends and leave it in my car.

I think the only “negative” of drinking so much water is the amount of times I have to use the bathroom. I think my case is extra special because I forget how much EXTRA water I get from the healthy foods I eat (salad greens, veggies, fruits, etc.) Combine this with all the traditional liquid water I drink and it’s no wonder I go so often. 😉

Bottom line though is that I’d rather have to go to the bathroom 100x extra per day than have to deal with diabetes, excessive sweating, high blood pressure, etc.!

I am right there with you- I am loving the effects of drinking more water, in terms of my health, but man, am I in the bathroom a lot!

I hae a blue nalgene bottle that I’ve had for years- was my college water bottle. It has a really wide mouth so I can fit any size ice cube into it. My only complaint is how much the bottle sweats. I hae no real reason to replace the thing but I’m researching my options for the future.

Yeah, I totally didn’t mention that side effect — people at the office comment on how much I use the restroom, actually. I use the restroom probably 10 times a day. I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but oh well.

I actually just bought a CamelBak water bottle this weekend…it’s one of the ones with a “straw” that you bite on to release the water so that it doesn’t spill. I LOVE it and it was totally worth the $15. It’s a lot more convenient and I feel a lot less guilty than when I was bringing 3 huge plastic water bottles to work every day- my garbage was full of them and it just seemed very bad to be using up all that plastic in a day.

This is also brilliant for restaurants. I don’t like unfiltered water and find disposable water bottles to be morally indefensible. I have two large refillables with handy spill-proof tops. If I go out for lunch, it goes with me. Water for me with the meal, thank you much.

I’m a reformed soda drinker, much like yourself. Watching me with endless refills at the restaurant was like watching Richard Pryor with the other kind of coke. I was bad about fluid calories in general. I still love milk, fruit juices, all the larded up beverages. I just don’t have them except on very infrequent occasions or in measured amounts. My primary fluid intake is water now, as it should be, and I’m better for it.

That is such a good idea. I have a bottle in my car and that makes me drink more too. I need to carry another bottle with me.

I have a CamelBak, too. I feel really silly drinking out of it, though.
