Tip: Use Workout Music to Inspire/Motivate
This is a post from my continuing series of Tuesday weight loss tips.
I put a lot of work into my workout playlists.
My playlists change on a weekly basis depending on my mood. I’m constantly looking for awesome new workout songs — if I hear a song I like while out and about, I’ll write the name of the song down (or lyrics if I don’t know the song) and search the song on Amazon or iTunes when I get back to the house.
Music fuels me at the gym — you should use it to do the same.
Find songs that you have an emotional connection with and load your iPod with them, they’ll add not only intensity to your workout but longevity as well. Without my iPod and its music my workouts are boring and lethargic; with them though and I don’t want to leave the gym.
So, think back. What songs have you enjoyed over the last 5, 10, 25 years that could inspire and motivate you in the gym?
Here’s a collection of some of my favorite workout music:
- iPod Workout Music Playlist
- 25 Great Workout Songs
- Spring Workout Playlist
- July’s Workout Playlist
- June’s Workout Playlist
I currently have Switchfoot, Kanye West, and Bon Jovi on my workout playlist. I’ll share the whole list soon, but for now what’s on your iPod?
