    I would say every single song from Journey. But I never listen to them while working out because I don’t want to ruin the song. Instead I listen to one song right before going to the gym so I will be motivated.

    Btw, as I said a few days ago I read through all of your posts. At the same time I combined all of your playlists into a big one in Spotify. It’s great since you can listen to all the songs for free and then decide which one I should use for my own playlist. I will continue to update it so feel free to share it with the rest of your readers. After removing all the duplicated songs I ended up with 234 tracks covering 15 hours.

    The PF I go to has little receivers on the cardio equipment that you can plug your headphones into and choose a channel to match what tv you’re watching. That makes the workout go by faster, and I can watch NASCAR while I’m on the machines. Last Thurs, I couldn’t find my earphones, so I had to listen to the piped-in music. It wasn’t that bad, but I missed the headphones! This weekend I found them, grabbed the mp3 player, hit the gym, and was *rockin’* to Joe Satriani, Ozzy, and Rob Zombie. The fast tempo, high-energy, loud music is such a blast to work out to!

    I have a combination of electronica/dance (dance dance revolution tracks, etc), and some Lady Gaga type stuff, intermixed with the Rocky soundtrack and some 70’s soul music, and hair metal. Good stuff. Yesterday I tackled the adaptive motion elliptical during lunch, and I only had 40 minutes before going back to work. Im unfamiliar on the machine, so it feels like piloting a mecha droid-it never moves as fast as you think it should (not like an elliptical) then James Brown came on, followed by Bill Conti’s “Rocky” theme. Whooooo! Good stuff, mainerd.

    Music DEFINITELY improves my workout. A good, fast-paced, top-40 song can propel me in ways nothing else can!

    We have receivers in the cardio equipment as well, but I don’t like watching television while I exercise for some reason. Also, I’m not on the cardio machines a lot these days, and the music coming from the speakers on the ceiling is much too soft for me.

    That’s some awesome music. The Rocky theme was played at my dad’s funeral, per his request. I love that song.

    D12 is really good to listen to. That Diddy with Alicia Keys song is good, too. Very upbeat.
