Back with a New CamelBak
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
I last went to the gym on Thursday and stopped counting calories shortly afterward, but I’m back and refreshed from Christmas break. I’ll be up bright and early Monday morning at 4:30 to head to the gym and start another day of watching what I eat. It’s not sexy, but boy, it works pretty well.
I hope you’re back and ready to rock, as well.
I saw family and friends, ate too much food, and got too many gifts. It’s fine to indulge a few times a year, and while it will take a few days to undo the “damage” I’ve done to my weigh-in, it’s good to let go.
Taking a break from counting calories (and a routine) every once in a while not only keeps you sane, but many think an influx of calories on a regular basis (as long as it’s not too overboard) actually helps you lose weight.
Bottom line, it’s all about what you eat most of the time and what you do most of the time, not what you do over your Christmas break with family.
Even if you’re still on vacation through the rest of this week, I hope you’ll try to moderate your calories or burn a few calories while you’re away from work, or a little bit of both. I know you might plan on loosening the belt this Friday night for the start of 2011, I know I will — but there are a dozen meals plus several days of gym visits between now and then.
Get back on track or find a new one today, not next Monday.
How was your Christmas?
