Week 106: Weigh-in Results
If you’ve been around a while, you know that weigh-in results were first taken with video, as opposed to the pictures you see today. While more time consuming, videos were a lot more “interactive” and generally just a better way to do progress updates.
Well, they’re back.
Weekly Update (#106)
Last week, I got a scale. This past Friday, I got this in the mail. It gives me the ability to quickly shoot, compile, edit, and upload videos at home or on the road.
MyFitnessPal, creator of the most popular phone app for counting calories and one of the biggest calorie counters online, bought me a MacBook Pro. They are now officially sponsoring me, the blog, journey — whatever you want to call it.
MyFitnessPal allows folks to count calories online on the web and via phone, all for free, and unless this is your first time visiting you know how I feel about counting calories (it’s the greatest thing ever!). It’s a beautiful relationship.
Think of it this way. If I were a professional athlete, like a golfer (a real athlete, like a basketball player), MyFitnessPal would be my Nike. I lost about 150 pounds counting calories and I wholeheartedly would recommend it to anybody trying to do the same.
Even better, I’ve been chatting directly with the co-founder and CEO of MFP via e-mail and have been giving my input, suggestions, etc. He’s a great guy (albeit extremely busy!) and has been receptive to what I’ve sent over to him.
So, what am I going to do with this MacBook Pro? Things like this:
I’m just getting started. And yes, that is Blue’s Clues in the background.
…The journey continues in text and now on video, thanks to MyFitnessPal.
