Back to Back
I don’t get much any downtime during the workweek, but I did manage to find a few minutes last night to aimlessly click around the blog. It was refreshing to look back at some of the nearly 600 posts I’ve written since 2009.
I tried to keep a count going of the spelling/grammatical errors I found, but I lost count sometime around last Thursday.
During my adventures last night, I stumbled upon this:
(If you can’t view the above video, watch it directly on Youtube.)
Watch the video and pause it at the 11 second mark. Compare it with this:
The video is from 2009. The picture is from last week.
I felt like an idiot standing in front of that video camera a few years ago. How could I have known what was in store for me down the road? I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d know what it’d be like to lose 100 pounds.
I don’t know what it’s like to lose 150 pounds, but I’m going to find out soon.
Most folks have a hard time staying motivated to lose weight because they don’t know what’s waiting for them at the end of the road. Sure, they know they’ll be able to say “I lost X pounds!” when they’re done, but what does that mean? Most people don’t know what it’s going to be like or feel like when they finally lose those 25, 50, 100, or 150+ extra pounds they’ve carried for years.
The only way to find out is to lose the weight.
If all else fails to motivate you, let the unknown keep you going. Keep moving forward to see how your life changes after you lose those extra pounds you’ve been carrying.
