Weight Loss + Physical Activity for Week 171
I’m still monitoring the calories I burn, sleep patterns, steps taken, etc. with both Fitbit and the FIT Core Armband, but I’ll use BodyMedia’s data for today.
Daily averages between May 4 – May 10:
(Chart and data provided by BodyMedia’s FIT Core Armband.)
Avg. daily calories burned: 3,281 calories
Avg. daily calories consumed: 2,139 calories
Avg. daily calorie deficit: 1,142 calories
Avg. daily physical activity: 1:43 hrs:mins
Avg. daily steps taken: 9,190 steps
Avg. daily sleep duration: 2:21 hrs:mins (I got more sleep than this, but it didn’t record much of my sleep for whatever reason.)
Today’s weight: 212.4 pounds
Weight lost/gained since last Friday: 0.2 pound(s) lost
Total weight loss since January 2009: 131.8 pounds
(First time readers: I’m a work in progress. Go look back at where I started.)
I typically make a point of not eating a big meal before a weigh-in, but my wife is pregnant and really wanted to go out for chips and salsa last night. So, we did, and I had a few too many calories right before I stepped onto the scale.
I can’t use last night’s meal as an excuse for a poor weigh-in, but if I stepped onto the scale tomorrow morning I’d probably be down another half pound or so. But I don’t step on the scale Saturday morning. So be it.
The scale is just one indicator of weight loss. I know how hard I’ve worked.
I plan on staying home this weekend and doing a lot of (labor intensive) yard work. I’ll make a conscious effort to burn more calories this weekend and take it easy at the Mother’s Day brunch. My plan this weekend is as follows:
1. Don’t screw up.
2. Refer to #1.
Have a good weekend.
