Taking Back Control
Job school family stress holidays can put us into a downward spiral.
I’m sure you’ve had that feeling before. Your weight loss was going great for a day/week/month and then all of a sudden, you had a bad meal. Maybe you had a bad day — or week. Maybe a bad month — or ten.
By thinking of that wasted time and potential, you keep going. You stop going to the gym, unloosen your belt, and dream of all the unlimited food you can now eat now that you’re no longer watching your weight.
No more counting calories, carbs, or points. You’re a free (albeit fat) bird.
It’s a vicious cycle, one that can list weeks, months, and even years. But keep things into perspective: I’m coming off of a bad decade. You can stop your downward spiral at anytime. Nothing is “wasted.” There is no longer any yesterday to waste. You only have today and tomorrow and while you can’t control what you did yesterday, you can certainly control today.
There is no freight train of momentum. As of this morning, the train is parked, and you get to decide which way you want to go today.
